I am a "downsized" professional Purchaser with experience in a number of industries. Approx 4 years ago, I started my own company. Within 14 months , I had 5 people working for me and a base of over 60 customers. At that time, my duties included all quality control, inventory, sales and marketing, scheduling, bookkeeping and admin. The company was a house cleaning company .
A move to a smaller town gave me the opportunity to perform a computer conversion for a hardware store with over 10,000 items in inventory. This involved developing an inventory coding system as well as procedures and policies. I also developed procedures to coordinate all the bookkeeping functions as well as providing on going training for staff and owners on both general accounting procedures as well as the functions of the new system.
I am now living in a very small town on the prairies with the opportunity of doing the things that I have always dreamed of doing- namely writing, woodcarving and golfing during the nice weather. Of course all of this will be after we finish doing a full renovation on the house that we just purchased!
